Passive Remote Key (Not safe when you can drive without it in the car after starting)
Hey Guys,
Spread the info. I accidentally left my Passive Remote Key at home after starting my vehicle with it. And was able to drive to my destination I was going.
Question 1: Is the insurance company going to like the fact that our vehicles are easy to steal? It's like going back in time and just messing with ignition to start it.
Question 2: Is Dodge going to fix this issue like having the key outside the car and locking the shifter so it can't move?
Question 3: Do you guys think it's safe? It's pretty scary when this happens.

Assuming you stopped the car at your destination - how did you restart it with the remote at home?
Hey Guys,
To answer both.
1.) I had someone grab it from home and bring it to me. But I was able to stop and put it in park and then put it back into drive without the key. It just didn't work after I turned the vehicle off.
2.) I went 20 km's and it still wanted to go. I could have drove till the tank runs out and turns off car itself. I checked with the dealer and well it's a glitch in the system that opens a loop whole to drive without the key.
