2012 Dodge Journey battery/charging issues..
We bought the journey in 04/2012 for my wife to use as her everyday driver with our three small children. The car now has 15300 miles.
While driving down to NC from OH my wife indicated that the battery, airbag and ABS lights came on. I tried driving the car 2 miles to the nearest dealership this morning only to have a total loss of power after only a mile and a half. We had to have it towed in. Still waiting to hear back from the dealer on what might be wrong, but it is obvious that it's not charging.
I am thoroughly disappointed in Dodge because of this and am rather angry. If this happened while my wife was driving with our kids, who knows how bad this could have been since I was barely able to get over to the shoulder, coasting.
This is not how I wanted our family vacation to start and definitely not something that should happen to a new car.
Anyone else have this happen? Any ideas on the cause? This seems ridiculously early on in the vehicle's life to have these kinds of problems.
