Just got it 2009 Dodge Journey. I haven't had an auto before but when driving it it judders when pulling away all other gear changes are smooth. It doesn't do it in reverse. But have noticed when in reverse the car engages as soon as take the foot of the brake without using the accelerator. In Drive Ihowever it does not move forward until I hit the gas and then it judders. if on a downward slope the car naturally moves forward when disengaging the brake and then no juddering. Any ideas IS IT RUNNING TO SLOW or is it more sinister. If so I will take it back the dealer just a 70 mile round trip.

What engine? How many miles? Transmission ever been serviced? Engine tuned up?
