Default key being stuck in ACC position when turning car off

2010 Journey - Yesterday 3 times when attempting to turn my car off the key would be stuck in the ACC position. I had to repeatedly turn the car on, shift to drive, then to park, then attempt to turn car off. This had to be done over and over several times to finally get it to work. I have read about this in the caravan. Anyone have any advice for me?

I recall this happening to some Mopars because the
shift/steering interlock cable has jumped out of a
clamp meant to secure it.
Possibilty if the same hardware is involved.
