Default 2011 Dodge Journey

Hello,

I'm new to the forum but have been reading the past couple of days. I recently purchased a 2011 Dodge Journey Mainstreet that is equipped with the RE2 radio. The radio does not have Bluetooth or voice recognition. According to Uconnect's site (http://www.driveuconnect.com/system/...ey/touch84re2/) Bluetooth, hands-free calling, and voice recognition can be added.

Would only one module be required to add these functions or are they all separate modules? Would the button controls be add to the steering wheel or would be a separate cable with controls that has to be attached elsewhere?

My radio doesn't have the "Phone" soft button as depicted in the picture on their site so I'm guessing hands-free wasn't standard on the radio.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

I suggest contacting Uconnect or your local dealer for details.

Thanks for replying, I did contact both of them. The dealers keep coming up with this bluetooth module for 4.3 screens when they use my vin. This vehicle has a 8.4 and I got the factory order to confirm it. I have one more dealer to try and they say they have a uconnect guru so I guess I'll see when I visit. Thanks again.

BTW, I did find a device that is called a Ribbon bluetooth streamer from Blueant. It plugs into the aux port and I can stream my phone to the streamer. It handles A2DP but not phone calls. That'll work for my nav and Sirius app from my phone though.

all the steering controls go thru the clockspring...you may need a new clockspring. depending on the build...the clockspring may be part of the sccm.

Hi Vandibr,

If you're considering having a Dodge dealership diagnose the concern you're experiencing, please feel free to reach out if I can help make you an appointment!
