Went to Carmax today simply to test drive a newer Journey with the wife, just for a look see. I've been wanting to drive one with the V6 for a long time and all I wanted to do was drive one with the V6 to compare to what we have now (2.4L)...We had them appraise the 09 for the heck of it since it was free anyway. (The boss wanted a Terrain, Escape or Tiburon....GASP). Figured they would maybe offer $4500-5000 at the most. They came back at us offering $8000 to buy our 09 (basic SE model with 80000 miles). Since we only owed just over $6000....what the heck, no brainer, right? Picked up this 2013 SXT with only 9,000 miles. 3.6L Pentastar, 3rd row seating, dual climate controls. Only thing it is missing is the uconnect feature for hands free. We also got a 6 year/100,000 mile warranty. Payment stay exactly the same. Needless to say, this thing is light years away from the 09 we had. A very nice ride, IMO.

Best thing is the boss has given me the green light to start modding her....painted calipers first....nightshaded tails to follow...CAI...oh boy!
