Default 2010 dodge journey sxt

My daughter's 2010 dodge journey.Front wipers not working after she started her car one morning & a freezing rain had the wipers stuck to the windshield. She immediately turned them off but now will not come back on.We have checked fuses, disconnected battery for 30 mins.,applied 12 volts to wiper motor & wipers work.Any suggestions on why switch can't supply power to wiper motor?

Have you measured to see if there is voltage at the wiper motor connector? If not, start checking backwards. There might also be more than one fuse. There is an underhood fuse center as well as one inside the car.

Also the TIPM may have detected over current and
shut the wiper circuit down, try a reset by disconnecting
battery for 10-15 minutes.

Yeah,I've tried disconnecting the battery twice ,30 mins. each time,no help.Does a 2010 journey have another module that may have this circuit shutdown,BCM?If it has one where is it located?

From the 2010 Factory Service Manual:

B2305-WIPER PARK SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT HIGH (STUCK HIGH)

  • When Monitored: With the ignition on.
  • Set Condition: The Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) does not detect a change from High to Low voltage on the Wiper Park Switch Sense Circuit.

Possible Causes

(W7) WIPER PARK SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT OPEN
(W7) WIPER PARK SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE
FRONT WIPER MOTOR
TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE (TIPM)
