2010 Dodge journey stops running
I just bought a 2010 dodge journey less than a month ago. A few times now it has randomly stopped running. It seems to happen after the key is in the ignition after starting it with the remote or when going from reverse to drive. Has this happened to anyone else?
I had a similar issue. Try two things; first, check or replace the battery in the remote. Second, If you have any weight on the "key" FOB such as a ring or chain with other keys or dangling items, remove them. This second option is something that has been noted around the internet and my wife had this exact issue.
What happens is that the weight of the additional keys or items can be excessive to the design and move the key end within the switch. When the additional items dangling from the "key" shift or swing around, it pulls out the key FOB just enough that the car's computer does not see it inserted any more. The car security system then shuts off the engine to prevent theft.
Otherwise it may be an electrical issue or something else I am not familiar with on the journey.
If the first two items do not resolve the issue and no one else here has anything to add, then if you bought it from a dealer I would take it back for them to look at.

I'm sorry to hear about the stalling concerns. How many times has the issue occurred? Have you had an opportunity to run it by the Service Manager at your dealer?
There are instances where the vehicle will shut down after remote start. It could be related to irregular battery voltage, low engine oil pressure, or in the event a prior remote start cranked the engine, but did not start it. The ability to duplicate the issue will help the diagnosis process. It is important to take note of any trends you may notice when the loss of power occurs and bring it to your local dealer's attention.
Keep us posted if you can,
