advice on 09 journey rt awd
Hey Everyone,
My wife currently has a 2008 Dodge avenger but she's been looking at a 2009 Dodge journey. It's the RT all-wheel-drive with the 3.5 V6. Is there anything in this car that you would watch out for?
Also with our avenger, the 3.5 V6 in it used oil. Do the 3.5 in the journeys use oil as well?
Ive seen a lot of people online complaining about the journeys regarding brakes rotors and electrical, so I'm a little nervous.
She's going to get a dodge because I like dodge, but I want her car to have a good one. If this next mopar doesn't hold up she'll pry say the H word (Honda).........
Thanks for your time!

As I said in my PM, for your first Journey experience, I would not get anything earlier than a 2012. You would be disappointed then turn into one of those folks who starts bashing the entire Chrysler line because of one bad experience with one vehicle. Believe me, it happens.
Or, go into it knowing the brakes are going to be problematic. Once I replaced mine with quality aftermarket parts, I never had another brake issue for 60,000 miles. I also had an ac compressor go out, an alternator go out, the door wiring harness issue (fixed by recall) and an intake runner issue. All were covered under warranty though.
