Default 2009 Journey Coolant Temperature Sensor Replacement

Hello, I am trying to replace my Coolant Temperature Sensor on my 2009 Dodge Journey 3.5 L V6 and before I began I wanted to see if anyone else has had to replace this part? If so, what process did you follow? I want to make sure I do it all correctly and any insight or tips from someone who has done it before would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I have not done this but if I were you
I would check YOUTUBE for how to do it.
Many repairs are posted there as videos,
just search for your thread title used here.

Thank you for your reply. I actually have been searching for a video but I haven't been able to find one for a 2009 Dodge Journey, unfortunately.

Depending on the location, it could be as simple as removing the old one, installing the new one. Use teflon tape on the threads to seal. If it's on top of the engine, no big deal, remove and replace. If it's on the side or bottom, coolant will come out, so be quick about it to minimize the coolant loss. Replace what comes out, drive it for a bit and check the level. Pretty much like replacing a thermostat.
