Unhappy wont start need help bad.

Ok so I have a 2009 dodge journey and have been driving it for 2 years with out incident. right around christmas it started to just not start all. every thing else works lights radio, displays everything, but it just would not start.

occasionally boosting would solve the problem, other times, it wouldent help at all, i put in in neutral to start once, and it worked, but that never worked again.

I finally took it in to get the battery replaced about 4 weeks ago, after that it ran just fine.

then last night it went back to not starting, it was +4c when it started working and stay warm till it dropped to -9 last night when it stopped working.

I've been told it's everything from, the engine, the computer, the gear shift, the starter, the integrated power distributioon module, and i still can't figure out what the problem, is and i don't have the money to Dr house this stuff till it works, any advice?

Define not starting: not turning over, or turning over and not firing?

Not turning over at all you turn the key you hear the engine click 5 times then nothing

Probably the neutral safety switch in the shifter. Have read about those going bad.
