2010 dodge journey sxt vehicle has never been in accident but passenger headrest has deployed but no light on insturment panel removed headrest accidently pulled wires in half , put back together but airbag warning light will not go off.
Any ideas to turn off light ??
While light is on are airbags active??

 

If a single headrest deployed then it would suggest
the mechanism of latching it is defective, if it was sensor or
rear end collision both would deploy.
Did you repair the the wires?
The headrests are part of the airbag circuitry that's why you
have the indicator lit.
If you have repaired the wires then try disconnecting the battery
for 10-15 minutes to reset TIPM.
Other than that a dealer may have to reset.
