Default 2013 Dodge Journey-Passenger Door not closing properly

I am so bummed that my recently purchased 2013 Dodge Journey passenger door is not closing properly. It takes more force than it should to close properly. Could this just be a latch problem? I emailed the salesman that helped me purchase it but of course, since the deal is already closed, he can't be bothered to write back. Please help!

E-mailed the salesman?

Make a phone call. Call service if you have to.

Well I feel stupid now. I was hoping to get some help on here. I have called the salesman and making arrangements to take the suv in this weekend.

Hi Jack,

Thank you for your reply. I've texted my salesperson all day today (named Jack, coincidentally) and am getting nowhere. I have called a couple of times and put straight through the manager's voicemail both times. I hope the dealership is agreeable to at least looking at the vehicle to see what the problem is.

I would recommend calling the general dealership number first, rather than your specific salesperson. When you call that number, ask for the service department; once transferred there, somebody should be able to assist you in scheduling an appointment.

Let me know if you continue to run into any issues!

Once a salesperson makes a sale, they are done with you. No matter how nice they are at the dealership. As stated, call the service department. The salesman can't help you now. He did his job already.

Since you have not stated, how many miles on it? It should be still under factory bumper to bumper. Warranty claims go through service, not sales.
