Default 2013 Journey 2.4L, I need some more acceleration.

Hi, can anyone out there tell me how to get more out of the four banger Journey its just hurtin going from a V6 suv to this thing.

I got 90 days wholesale price on parts when I bought it so now what im wondering is what do i need to buy without getting crazy expensive and not blowing the warranty. Well maybe im willing to go there for the power! lol

-cold air intake for sure
-do they make a computer controller chip for the 2013 Journey?
-header and exhaust
-any simple tricks you know that will help?

It is what it is !

Computer controlled so many old style mods
are instantly offset by economy programming.
No one makes a getty up chip for any Journey
drive train nor have I seen a header/exhaust
set up since the 2.4 was used in the Dodge
Caliber (it's basically the same but with more
computer control).
Cold air intakes add in reality small changes
with exception of seat of the pants feeling
mostly because of sound effects and if you
look at the existing air path it is designed
to take lead edge cold air and guide it to
intake.

Really nothing at all. It is a 4 cylinder engine in a big vehicle. Had one for 4 years in our 09. I acccepted it for what it was. But after the 3.6 in our 2013, I will never have another DJ with a 4 cylinder.

Thanks guys, not really what I wanted to hear but guess I will have to leave the family wagon as is. I got this for its cargo space and fuel economy but a test drive anywhere other than Victoria going 30km/hour behind other cars may have changed my mind from buying this with a 4cyl.

4 cylinder has practically no Real world fuel mileage advantage over the V6. We get the same, sometimes better mileage with the V6 than we did with the 4. It has to work too hard to get all that mass moving.
