Default 2012 Journey Car door sensor

My car is not registering that my driver side door is shut and continues to beep letting me know it is not (it is shut properly). Any suggestions or others with this problem? As of now I will be taking it into the dealership this Friday to get it figured out.

Welcome to the forum.

The first thing one would suspect is of course the
door actuated switch , second thing that may have
happened that the circuit may have been turned off
by a current fault sensed by the TIPM.

Crisis resolved... well, sort of. It's my wife's car and today when she was out running errands there was nothing wrong. She turned the car off numerous times trying to reenact yesterdays issue but nothing came of it. She also noted that yesterday her car alarm went off twice while sitting in our driveway. She said the first time she took her time getting out to the car as she thought it was odd. The second time she ran outside to see if it was somebody tampering with the vehicle but there was nobody there.

Is this an aftermarket alarm?

I'm glad the door sensor issue seems to be worked out, but that's strange the alarm is randomly going off. As bigtsr asked, is it aftermarket?
