I have a 2012 journey i noticed my rear wiper not working then my parking light and i was unable to use the keyless switch under liftgate. When you open lift gate there is a black sleeve on top left with maybe 10 wires inside. I opened it and found 7 wires broken in half. Seems when they built the truck they did not give enough length so when you open and close lift gate they break.
Anyone else experience this problem is there any recalls on this. Thanks Jay

 

There have been posts in the past of this happening
on 2009-10 models but it was thought to by caused by
wire flexing you may have another reason.

 

It does not look like there is a recall for this, Jay. I searched for a service bulletin as well, but no luck.
