I want to install a backup camera on my 2012 Dodge Journey Crew. I have the 8.4" video screen. I found an OEM backup camera on ebay that comes with a wiring harness. The installation instructions are a little intimidating with 24 pages of instructions which include "re-pinning" wire connectors. Can someone explain to me how I can tell if my vehicle is factory pre-wired for the backup camera so that I only have to install the rear camera and have the dealer update the firmware? If the info is coded on the data sheet, I have it.
