Default Coolant temp in 2014 journey

I recently had to have my radiator replaced. Since then my 2014 journey 3.6L v6 will reach temps of 220 while idling or climbing hills. Oil temp will reach 208. The mechanic I hired to do the work said it is normal prior to the work it never ran this hot

I can't seem to find what the normal operating temperature should be, although that of course does depend on the driving situation, but I can certainly understand your concern if it's reaching 220. Was this a dealership mechanic?

No it was not a dealer mechanic and it reaches those temps by either a fast idle or climbing a hill. It acts like it has air pocket in the coolant system, but the mechanic told me that was unlikely because he vacuumed the coolant in
