My wife's 2013 journey has rear brake lights but the third brake light doesn't work... I bought new led strip OEM from dealer... Still doesn't work.. is there a fuse for it.. I have searched a ton online.. seems like other dodges have a chmls fuse or is it chmsl
center high mounted safety light.
I have spent the last two hours trying to figure it out. Looked at fuse panel under hood and fuse panel under passenger dash and have had no luck.

A lot of Journey owners are have issue with the wiring hat runs from the truck to the door. It would be where I would look next, you will see the rubber cover that goes to the rear gate undo it carefully and slide it up and have look at the wires that are in a black plastic ribbed cover. The Journey I am helping a friend with has all his wires broken between the body and the rear gate. We have applied a temporary fix but when the weather gets warm enough we will do a proper longer term fix. I am surprised by how brittle and flimsy the wires are that were used. So it is where I would most certainly look.

 

He is correct. Check the wireloom going from the body to the lift gate.
