hello,

I replaced my journeys starter back in november 2017. before changing it on said date the war woudlnt turn on on/// i would hear clicks until there was no clicks at all. Today the car is doing the same thing. Last night i was tryint to turn on and notices white smoke coming from the starter.

why are my starters going bad?

Bad connections or wiring.

 

is this starter salvageable? would i be able to clean off the connections and get it to work. right now i just hear clicks when i turn the key. or is it gone since it smoked up yesterday?
