Running wires through Firewall
I have a 2016 dodge Journey CVP and would like to run wires for my fog lights and car security alarm to the dashboard to complete the wiring installations.
Is there any factory premade whole for additional pass-through wiring on the firewall ?
Where to look for it and where is it located ?

Hi,
Easiest and fastest way is to remove driver side innerfender (plastic one). There is some foam to prevent dust spreading, remove those too (arent gluet so just pull gently and those will pop out).
There you can see car origina wire harness that comes to driver side, under dash. From inside out you can gently push with small metal rod to find a way along the original cables. Then just tape your cables and pull them in.
Remember to use sprayoil like WD40 on cables so they will slide a lot easier thru.
I just installed webasto cables from there, easy and quite a comfortable to install.

Thanks for responding to my query. Wondering if there are an easier path without removal of driver side innerfender. I am concerned that holding pins may crack or break as they are usually brittle.
I need to run only two small wires which need a small hole in firewall. If possible, my preference would be to avoid removal of innerfender.

As far as i looked, there is not another good route.
Next to break pedal, on its left side and little bit lower there goes line for rear windshield sprayer.
It is pretty tight fit, but it has rubber around it and it might be possible to get really small cables thru it.
It is on easy spot from drivers side from inside, but didnt look where it ends on engine side of firewall.
Those plastic clips on inner fender arent so expensive and can be found almost in every car parts selling store.
Nothing special. Couple dollars on ebay. So if you have time to get some, the easiest way would be removing that inner fender.
I havent removed any covers from passenger side, so i dont know is there any better spots.
