Dodge Journey 2010 Horn, battery & warning lights
Horn goes off at random times - driving, still, parked - no pattern to when it goes off or rhythm. Auto electrician tried disconnecting it form the contacts (in steering wheel) and it still goes off while sitting with ignition off.
Battery runs down completely over about 2 days so I have to put in on the charger every night or two. New battery.
Have started getting warning lights at random times which go away if I pull over & turn if off for a minute or two. Auto electrician can’t find a fault.
I see this is a common problem with the only quick solution being to remove the horn fuses. That makes it illegal to drive in NZ. Also doesn’t solve the other problems.
Can’t take it to dealer as I’m the second owner and have no rights under NZ law.
Has ANYONE found a solution? My only recourse at the moment is to wire up a fix for the horn and sell it.
