serpentine belt cut in half when I start my car (2009 dodge Journey sxt 3.5) , I was able to see the belt heating , and smoke come from the hood ,
when I tested the crankshaft pulley , it was too hot and i think what causes the belt to cut off .

any help please because I don't wanna keep buying new belts .

the AC compressor clutch is not moving (not spinning )

 

AC pulley is locked up from the looks of it. Thats whats eating the belt. The crank pulley is getting hot because the belt is getting hot from the pulley that is not spinning.
