2009 Journey
Help please:suggestions/thoughts
2009 Journey blew head gasket repaired by Chrysler under lifetime warranty. Hurray.... But dealership says blown Y in cooling system which was blown because of high pressure from blown head "NOT COVERED". 1,200 bucks to fix. My local mechanic says should be covered "collateral damage"
ANY COMMENTS?
Car driven 5 hrs after leaving shop. Leaked aprox. 1 gallon of antifreeze. Alternator which was replaced a few years ago squealing. ? alternator or belt because of antifreeze. Asked for alternator back and was told there might be a core charge on NEW alternator. Was told the alternator would be in the back of the car. My daughter picked car up in Dallas, I live in Chicago. 75 dollar core charge on bill AND NO ALTERNATOR IN BACK OF CAR AS PROMISED...
My question is simple is there a CORE CHARGE on a new alternator?????? My concern is that the squeak was the antifreeze on the belt and they did not want me to have alternator checked. Electrically worked fine. I was told bearings on alternator were rusty.. Is it even possible to look at bearings while still on car?????
