Red face Hello everyone, what is the nut size for negative jumping terminal post?

Hello everyone,
Just want to say I have found this forum to be useful for not only my Journey in the past but also for my beloved (and now wrecked) Jeep.
Anyhow, anyone know what the nut size is for the negative jumping terminal stud for an 11' Journey RT?
I dropped it and lost it (and the socket, too) when trying to reconnect the negative harness to the terminal stud.
When I told the wife about the missing socket the other day, she said, "Oh, that was that clanging sound!"

I'm using a wrong sized nut ATM lightly fastened with a washer and it's ok but hardly desirable.
Exact size would be much appreciated.
This is all b/c some of my hatch lights remain on after shutting the car down and are draining the battery, so I disconnected the negative terminal.
My small local mechanic,(who's working on my Journey's wonky electrical issues-ordered a bdm? circuit board-and will be installing this weekend, so, fingers crossed!
Anyway, ITMT I'd like to at least find the right but size for the stud. Dang that sounds really bad, eh?
Thanks,
Speedy

BTW, I used to have an account here years ago (and one over at the Libby forum when I still had my Libby ) but I've forgotten what it was named and the email too.
I love our 11' RT Journey and it still drives great and is mighty cozy but-oh my-lately with the wet weather I'm having some hella time wrangling with the dang lights on the rear hatch.

probably a m8 or m10 nut. the oem nut is shouldered so if the new nut isn't...use a flat washer.

Great. I tried an m8 after consulting the local hardware pros, but it was too small. I'll give the m10 a shot.
Thanks for the quick reply.
