2012 dodge journey Locks not working properly
for starters, i am really tired of fixing this journey. however i am in need to fix this and ASAP as my wife is 8.5 months pregnant with our second kid and i need this suv working... i can do most work myself, have done a ton of this already. replaced all wheel hub assembly, do my own brakes, just replaced the oil filter housing due to the crappy plastic washers warping. replaced the adjustment arms because my camber was all out of whack and cooked three of my four tires. thermostat went boomy in January (lucky easy fix) overall i am tired of throwing good money into a bad vehicle. but i must fix it as my corolla isnt big enough for the family,
now my locks wont work.
they are operating as if they are not getting enough power. it is not one lock, it is all locks. rear hatch lock wont even disengage. door locks will not engage (dont get enough juice it sounds like to go down) take 4-5 presses of the key to get em unlocked, they pop up a smidge each time.
fuses under hood are all good by visual inspection, fuses under glove box are all good by visual inspection. problem started abruptly yesterday. disconnected the negative for 40 min tonight, nothing changed. checked under the seats for loose grounds, none appeared to be loose. all wiring under the hood was just inspected again (minus the sparkplugs and their associated connections on back of manifold as i am not taking that all apart again, and vehicle run fine mechanically) my el-cheapo scanner does not toss any codes, no mileage issues, no flickering lights, 13.9-14.1V from battery when running, windows work, radio and fan controls work, air conditioning is a bit warmer than i like, but that might just need a recharge.
other problems that might point in right direction, for over a year my rear wiper blade wont work, and i am fairly certain my trailer like connection doesnt work (not sure if from hitting a parking curb, or other wiring)
any ideas on where i am missing something, or what i can test. i would prefer to not have to rewire the whole kit... as i dont much want to...

Well i am kinda grumpy at myself. that failing read wiper is the sign of the actual culprit... there is a broken wire, or loose somewhere in that line... i popped the emergency hatch inside the rear hatch door, unlocked it, opened it up, wiggled wires and the locks work properly...
so what this mean is... rewire that whole line i think....
stupid stupid stupid...
