2015 Journey Limited Battery Drain
I see a lot of this on the web, but our dealership has had my Journey now for 3 weeks with no solution, Bill is currently up to $2,000 and climbing. Car only has about 67,000 miles.
I am being told they have engaged Dodge Tech support and/or Dodge engineering as they are at a loss as to why there is a battery drain.,
So, I went into the dealership to simply get a new battery since I didn't feel like taking the wheel off to replace it. I was then told the battery
was fine and there was draw on it. Now they cannot find the drain. They did say the sunroof switch was pulling current, so they had to removed the headliner to fix that.
We still have a draw. Alternator seems fine. With all fuses out, they still have a draw.
I also have a problem with one FOB not being detected. Seems a lot of people have that same issue as well.
I simply cannot afford for them to "keep trying different things" at my expense.
I'm seeing a lot of suggestions on the net, e.g. cracks in battery cables, alternator, headlights auto mode TIPM soldered relays going bad, rechargeable batteries in flash light bad.
I'd think after three weeks of engaging Dodge tech support, they'd should have a pretty good idea what the problem is. They do build these things.
Becoming really frustrated.
