2012 journey
I have a 2012 Dodge Journey with the 2.4 L. The belt started squeeking a few months ago so I changed it. A month later the battery starts giving problems so that was changed. I did mess up the current sensor on the negative terminal so I did not reconnect that. A week later the car dies going down the road. Had a friend jump me but died again not far from that point. Replaced the alternator and has been working fine for the past week. Then it started shutting off going down the road again. When it shuts off I can push the ignition button and it will just turn over but not start. After leaving it sitting for a few minutes it will fire back off but I can only drive very slow for it to stay running. If I try to gun it to pick up speed it will shut off. Sometimes it will run fine up and down town but then sometimes it just doesn’t want to get up and go without shutting off. I was thinking fuel filter then found out it was a non serviceable filter that is built into the pump. So now I’m just guessing it is the fuel pump assembly. But I’m not 100% sure and don’t want to just throw a bunch of money out to find that it’s not the problem. Any and every kind of insight is very much appreciated.
