Default Vin chassis stamp

Hi, I recently bought a 2009 Journey SXT, but have just failed the NCT (National Car Test) because the Technician could not find where the VIN number is stamped onto the chassis. Could some please tell me how to find this. The VIN is recorded under the windshield, on most door posts and on most panels, but apparently somewhere it also stamped into the chassis.
Thanks in anticipation.

The hidden VIN's are just that. Hidden. That's for the police to see if a vehicle is stolen. Talk to the local police auto theft division. The location varies by year. Back in the early 80's, I would help the police on finding them. However, cars are so different now, I'd hesitate to say. I'm surprised the technician didn't know. It will be on the engine and transmission edges near the pan.

Where are you located? Here they just check the visible numbers. It's not each door and major panel as well as the windshield.

Thanks for the reply Ol Grouch. I live in Ireland. Because the vehicle was made in the USA, and there aren't too many over here I hoped someone may know.
