Default 2015 Journey SiriusXM "No Signal Contact Dealer" Help Please

Hello,

We've had SiriusXM in our Journey since 2015 and never had a problem until about 2 weeks ago when out of nowhere the radio screen says "No signal contact dealer". I've searched the internet quite a lot and I have found a lot of others have had this issue but I can't find any fixes for it.

The SiriusXM account is paid and I have done the "radio refresh" feature 10 times.

One more thing to note is that I can reliably get a signal in certain areas. There's an area a few blocks from our house where the signal comes in crystal clear but as soon as you drive past the area the signal drops again. There are about 5 of these little patches of space we drive where the radio comes in for a few seconds then turns back off.

Here are the other things I've done to try and fix it:

1) Disconnnected the battery for 30 minutes - Did not fix

2) Replaced the part of the antenna that screws into the roof antenna. I am assuming the antenna on our roof works for AM/FM and Sirius. The AM/FM radio works fine. The antenna that was on there broke off (our fault) in 2015 but the sirius radio always worked fine even with it broken in half. Recently it seems like somebody either removed the little section of broken antenna that was left or it came loose and fell off. Either way I replaced it and that didn't fix the issue at all.

3) Refreshed the radio by using SiriusXM's "refresh radio" feature - Did not fix

I dont' know what else to do and even though there are plenty of forum posts of others with this issue online, none of them seem to have a fix...just suggestions that I've tried above.

I have NOT called the dealer yet because I am going to guess their main goal is going to be to sell us a new radio. I called SiriusXM and the only thing they did was suggest to try the refresh feature.

I'm out of things to try and would like to use the Sirius radio so any help would be appreciated. If I left any information out that you need I can add it.

Hello, I have the same problem with my XM Radio. I have done all the same steps to try and fix it as above. I called my dealer, they say the problem is with XM Radio and call them. XM Radio says nothing wrong on their end and call dealer again. My dealer wants $140 just to look at it!!! and then tell me what I already know, it is not working!!! Crazy. I am following this thread to see if anyone has any answers? Thanks much!!
