Default Parking light issue

Hello,
I have a 2015 crossroads and recently noticed the rear drivers inside parking light (LED) is not working.
I bought a used replacement unit (90 day warranty) and installed but that does not work either. I also checked the 2 under hood 40W fuses labeled lights 1/2 and they look to be in good condition.
As soon as I get a free minute I will install the light I bought into the passenger side to check that it indeed is a working unit .but is there any other possible causes that might be going on here? All of the other lights are working properly.

Thanks
.

Check the sockets and the wiring. Measure to see if you have voltage going to the bulbs.

What I’ll do is try attaching the good passenger side light to the drivers connector and if the wiring is good it should light up.
If not maybe I got a bad used part?

Ok, I swapped light housings from side to side. All of the lights themselves are functional.
apparently I’m not getting signal to the driver side inner light....
bad fuse?
im thinking not the fuse since the fuse would affect everything else in the circuit....
any ideas?

Check the wiring inside the loom going from the body to the hatch. Over time, the wiring is known to break from continuously bending every time the hatch is opened.
