Default turn signal will not cancel

Just purchased a 2012 journey and when you put on the right turn signal, then turn the blinker stays on. You have to manually turn it off. Would this be repaired by replacing the clockspring or turn signal switch?

Turn signal switch. There is a little cam that cancels it and evidently it's failed. If your horn, and cruise control, along with anoy other steering controls work, your clock spring is good. Good thing. The turn signal switch is reasonably easy to replace. The clock spring, not so much.

It's a fairly easy repair. Not simple like changing a light bulb, but not even medium difficulty. For the last 20-25 years, the switch is accessed by removing a cover on the steering column and then it unplugs and unbolts from the side. A reasonably handy person can usually do it.
