Safety belt light won't turn off after removing car seat
Hi, I recently removed the seats, carpets and central console of my 2015 Dodge Journey 3.6 to do a thorough cleaning. While I used a pressure washer to clean the carpet, I was careful to clean the seat rails, etc. with a damp rag.
Upon assembly everything I got a dashboard warning light and message mentioning that the driver was not buckled. I can drive the car but the chiming is driving me crazy.
Checked connectors, cables, harnesses underneath driver seat to no avail. I also ordered another driver buckle, etc. but the notification is still there.
Went to the shop and while they said they were not airbag specialists, they could find the issue.
Would appreciate your input on possible causes and or things to test to figure this out.
Many thanks!!
