Battery issue
My journey seems to keep killing batteries. I replaced two batteries and each time after about a week. The batteries will only charge to 6 V in the journey won’t start. Any suggestions?
My 2015 Dodge Journey is doing the same it's killing batteries left and right.
For now my temporary fix is; I bought a solar trickle charger very cheap from Temu and it works great. Leave solar panel on dash and clip red and black connectors to Battery.
I haven't had to boost get boost for my truck in a long time keeps my battery topped up.
I'll wait till I flash the ECM and then we'll see but hopefully this helps you for now.
Some say to flash the ECM and that fixes it so I'm going to do that next.
I shopped around and it seems any garage mechanic can do it you don't have to go to the dealership so saves a little money. Costs vary, but my quotes were around $150-200.
I'll try that and let you know.
