Hello everyone, i have an 09 dodge journey im working on for my brother. It has the 3.5 v6 and is an SXT with 120k miles. Not sure any of that matters but it has an issue where it will crank to the moon and back but not start. randomly itll sputter like it wants to start and then doesnt. Has new plugs, coils, intake filter, and throttle body along with some other new parts battery etc etc (how we bought it) just verified that compression is good, all cylinders make great compression. verified fuel pressure and even tried starting fluid, just to be sure. definitely not a fuel issue, so we moved onto the spark, it has full spark on all cylinders.... for about a second during crank then it cuts off all spark until i reset the test. I think thats why it sputters for a second or so and then doesnt try to even run. Not sure what else i can check, i have heard bad things about the tipm's in these but not sure, Let me know any suggestions thank you! Maybe theres a simple way to check if its the tipm or something else. Or does it have nothing to do with the tipm? also hooked up my snap-on scanner and only code in it is an oil pressure sensor code. it goes away when cleared but will come back after excessive cranking lol. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
