Cabin air filter
is there any way to buy the cabin air filter, that way I won't have to dish out $590 for the protection group.
I know all that is is a filter that goes past the blower, but has anyone just bought the filter and installed it themself?

My car has that cabin filter, I have yet to look at it.
I think it is more than just buying the filter and popping it in.
When the weather gets cooler here in Florida (and Frances blows away), I will check it out and see what it looks like.

You can buy all of the parts to retrofit the cabin filter--believe it or not there are about 6 or 7 parts you need and the price is about $100. I don't have the numbers here but can post them Tuesday. You have to remove the wipers and the black plastic piece that has the air intake in it to install the mounting stuff but after that replacing the filter is a snap.
