Default De badged SXT pics

I am anti-chrome as they come. Did it to the Ram that I traded in on the SXT.

Is the badge attached with adhesive or are they through the body?

Everything is glued on. I pryed with a thin bladed screwdriver and an washcloth between the paint and the emblem. Of course being plastic some broke. Being new, they came off pretty easy. Just took Goo Gone to get the residue off, then waxed. Too bad the roof rack is attached through the body or it would be gone too.

There's actually a better way to do this without the risk of putting a pressure mark or ding in your body. Just heat the emblem with a hair dryer and the glue will soften enough to pull right off with your fingers. Just my .02

The use of fishing line is a very safe way to remove the emblem. Use it to "saw" through the foam backing and remove the residue with Goo Gone or Goof Off. Polish and wax the area and you are good to go.

i have seen a couple of times that someone not paying attention and over heated the paint. The clearcoat and paint came up with the glue, I could hear the *&^%&^$% 3 blocks away. This is about the 5th vehicle i have debadged using safety wire to saw them off, the hairdryer, soaking with goo gone and the latest prying. Many ways as long as you take it slow.

Take the molding off too, it will look even better! IMHO, of course. These pictures were taken before I took the badge off the hatch.

I have to admit it does look better.
Great job.

Mines still on order, since 8-17 or should I say still on hold.
