Default SXT or SRT8

Well, my mom and I went to the Dodge dealership around here, and we test drove the Magnum SXT AWD today since the lease on the Durango is up tomarrow.

The family cant seem to agree between the SXT the SRT8 and an Infiniti g35

I really want the Srt8 and my mom is leaning towards it.

My question is,

is there anything more than the engine Difference between the srt8 and sxt and is it really worth the extra money to have the bigger engine?

I just want to know from personal experience if its worth buying the srt8 over the sxt

Taylor-

The SXT is nice, but the Interior and additional HP on the SRT8 is a big selling point for those who are into High HP. The handling and power is like night and day, so be mindful of that if you go that route. It can be a handful for the uninformed.

No question about it ...get the SRT8. The SXT is a base model (nothing wrong with that , for all who have the SXT[sm=sorry.gif]) , and the SRT8 is the top dog of the line up. It`s way more than just a bigger engine , and it will hold it`s value better as well.

That's a crazy question if you saw both in person.... like asking should you get a hamburger or a filet mignon.

SRT8 upgrades include:

425hp/420tq 6.1 engine
Better transmission
Upgraded suspension with sway bars
Brembo brakes ($5k retail price)
Completely upgraded seats with vastly superior support and comfort
20" wheels with better tires (either F1's or RSA's which are better than Conti's on other models)
More race inspired styling cues on exterior
Better exhaust with headers (not manifolds)
ESP complete disable on command (3 position selector switch, not 2 way partial off)
And hell... the list goes on and on.

You're comparing two different animals really.

what kind of transmission do you have?

To the original question I guess you didn't get a chance to really look at the SRT8 because there are so many differences between the two. Did you sit in the SRT8? That would tell you right away your not in an SXT. Did you turn the SRT on? The sound alone makes me want to drive. Was there a salesperson around? my salesman made a point to show all the little extra's the SRT has over the standard package. Not to mention the driving school!! No, I don't think youreally got to experience an SRT yet. Go back and ask to see one or find a dealership that has one. You will definately be sold on the SRT8 once you actually get to see one. Unless you don't like muscle cars...

oh! your 16. I get it.
