I have driven the Mercedes 4-matic and it turns just like it's RWD counterpart. My Audi Allroad AWD has no turning problems either.

Our AWD,s been on order since Aug 16th, it's in BX status right know, no one (not even the service center) has any idea how long it will be before delivery. Hope it's by 12-31 that's when my DC employee discount expires.

We make at least 25 round trips from Portland OR to Mt Hood Meadows per ski season so an AWD is mandatory. Even if the RWD has limited problems in the snow on the real good ski day's the State Patrol won't let you by with out 4 wheel go or chains.

 

In the Mercedes did you perform a hard lock in a U-turn? I did that every day at one intersection in Tuscon and I got really tired of the FWD rental I had.

 

The comparison to the M-B 4-matic is closest as I understand the AWD is the same system. I think the wheels are the same on the RT, that is what Dodge seams to be saying, but there are no pics of AWD SXT or RT till this one got here. I haven't taken this one out yet. I will soon.

According to the brochure I picked up at the dealership a few weeks ago, the wheels are the same for both the R/T and SXT AWD models.
