Default Towing Part Numbers

I have an R/T with the towing package, and now I want to get everything I need to actually be able to tow one of those trailers from U-Haul or the in-laws popup trailer.

Is this all that I need?

82207811 3,800-lb tow rating, 380-lb tongue weight rating with weight distributing equipment; otherwise 2,000-lb tow rating, 200-lb tongue weight rating; 2" opening, Hitch Ball sold separately
$215.00

82400554 Trailer Side Replacement Wiring Kit, 7-way round connector with seven unterminated 8" wires, mates with Mopar 7-way trailer tow connector
$23.00

82401217 Adapter, converts 7-way round to 6-way round connector $14.00

82208643 Permits the use of hitch-mounted carriers and weight distributing equipment for towing up to 3,800 lbs. on LX vehicles. For use with 82208642 Ball Mount Adapter.
$33.00

82208642 Vertical mounted, for LX only, use only with 1" shank diameter hitch ball, for 2" opening.

It seems a shame to tow anything with an RT, such a beautiful car.

Reminds me off my camping trip to Canada, I put a hitch on my 69' Dodge Super Bee, so I could tow a trailer and boat.

I even swapped out the 4:10 gears and put in 3:23 gears to get better mileage.

We do stupid things when we are young.

I've seen pictures of Magnums with a towing hitch, and when you remove the ball, you can't see the hitch unless you kneel down and look under the car. It's not like what you had on your Super Bee.

I'd never put a hitch on my Barracuda or Road Runner, although when I go to the Mopar Nats with my wife and infant son, it seems like we need a trailer to take all the crappola with us.

Can anyone tell me if I have the parts list that I need?

p.s. My Barracuda and Road Runner are older than me. [sm=smiley17.gif]

That's not the harness you need. The complete harness is 82208926 and it's $89.

I installed the whole package and it's GREAT. Towed my little Airstream 850 miles a couple of weeks ago--the RT tows beautifully for what it is . . .

Thanks! Is everything else that I listed correct?

Those are all the part number you need!

I am towing a 1962 Airstream "Bambi," a little 16' jewel that weighs in at 1800 lbs. dry. Generally I only camp where there are water hook-ups so I tend to travel empty.

I did install a trailer brake control and it was a real pain in the neck--it took the better part of a day. I chose a 2-piece unit with remote so that when not towing there is no eveidence . . .

I don't even have the "towing package" and did not use any sort of load-leveing hitch. The Magnum performed well--not like my old Suburbans--but still did the job.
