Default Can You Abuse The 4 Speed Auto Shifter?

THIS MIGHT BE A REALLY STUPID QUESTION. I have a V6 3.5L SXT and I was wondering if I can overuse the 4 speed auto shifter? I have 22" rims and was told that my breaks would wear out really fast, being that the rims are heavy. I don't drive fast but use it when I have to make a quick stop. Can you over do it to the point that I might mess the engine up?
I hope I explained correctly.

the brakes are a lot cheaper to replace than the transmission.

I am not sure about the SXT, but the RT has Oversized Brakes. I have 60,000 miles on my Magnum and still have 70% of the stock Brakes left. I have no doubt that I will get 100,000 miles from my stock pads. Ask your friends if their cars get 100,000 miles on the stock pads. Plus I use my Auto Shifter all the time. Maybe that's why my brakes are in such good condition. I prefer to drive in 1st and let the computer shift for me when it wants to. Then I downshift when I see traffic slow down ahead.

Acceleration:
1st - 40 MPH
2nd - 70 MPH
3rd - 110 MPH
4th - 127 MPH (speed limiter)

Deceleration:
3rd - 70 tomaybe 80MPH
2nd - 40 to maybe 50 MPH
1st - 25 to 30 MPH

Those are my normal driving habits. Obviously not that fast... I rarely get out of 2nd until I get on the Freeway. Unless there's traffic, then I usually go the 20 miles home in 1st... I love the car...
