I have a 2005 Magnum R/T The rims are starting to flake and bubble underneath the finish. I have taken it to the dealer and am waiting to hear if it is going to be covered under warranty. Has anyone else had the same problems. The car had 58,000 kilometers on it when I noticed it.

 

I have'nt heard of this personally, but I would think as long as it is within the warranty period it should be covered. Good Luck.

 

Oh yes... I've had this same issue with three different chrysler cars... including my 05 mag RT.

they warrantied the Sebring rims... I haven't taken the RT in yet though...

 

The stock 18 in. wheels are doing the same thing.....it would bother me more if they weren`t sitting in my garage

 

Ha ha sitting in the garage,funny stuff. Anyone know a good non-abrasive cleaner for chrome rims which won't toast the finish???

 

They`re sitting in my garage , because I have currently havea set of polished SRT8 rims on the car.

Any name brand chrome polish/cleaner should work fine without scratching the chrome....I`ve used several different brands in the past , without any issues.

 

Thanks, I just want to keep my rims as shiny as possible, for as long as possible.
