Installing the 360 Air Intakez
Finally got my intake kit from 360 today and installed it. All went well, instructions could have been better, but all in all, it fit okay.
It probably would take an average person about 10-15 minutes to install, but at age 64, with arthritis, asthma and a bad heart - it took me almost an hour to get it installed the way I wanted it. Plus the 92 degree weather and humidity didn't help me.
The sound of the new intake, combined with the Flowmasters, makes it all worthwhile.
It is an awesome sound, the faster you go, the better it sounds.
The fit could have been better, the finish was great (gray) and I am happy with it. Not so happy with the customer service at 360AirIntakez, it took WAY too long to get it to me.
Having ordered it on August 25 and just getting it today on 10/04.
That's about 39 days! They are in Las Vegas and I am in Florida, but is still took a long time to get here. They claim the first box got lost in the mail, I guess I will never know the truth.
Just glad it is over and installed. Happy with the intake and Flowmasters, now if someone would just come out with some computer reprogramming.

I forgot to ask those of you that have already installed the 360 intake, is there any part of the intake below the filter box that I am supposed to remove?
Isn't there part of the air intake below the fender, with an air intake silencer?
Should that be removed or opened up for better air flow?
Thanks,
Bob

there is an air intake silencer in the fender that you can remove, I removed it on my car before I got my intake, it's a bit of a pain to get out though, you need to take the drivers side front tire off (some people suposedly did it with the wheel in, was to tight of a space to work though so I took it off), then remove snaps that hold the plastic panel inside the fender (3 panel snaps you will have to replace as they aren't reusable) and then it's just 1 bolt and a lot of wrestling to get it out of there.
Wow...... you don't know how to take the snaps off without breaking them? And you had to take a tire off to remove the resonator?????
Umm.... hate to ask, but how exactly did you get a Magnum?
Get a pair of ramps.... and pull the center pin out.... pull out the tabs... remove about 10 screws off the bottom kick panel.... remove ONE bolt holding it in.... 30 minutes tops... no more air resonator.

There is always more than one way to do something, he just did it his way.
Now I have two ways of doing it, thanks guys.
His way wasn't wrong, he just did it the best he could.
Any other ways to remove the air intake silencer?
BTW, the 360 Air Intakez must not seal against the hood too good, or else I would not be hearing the intake sound. Which is why I want to remove the factory silencer and maybe put a clear lid on top of the 360 air box - to seal out hot underhood air.

I took the tire off cause that's the way I read on a few other forums that that's how people did it, thru the wheel well not from underneath.

Well, today my son and I removed the stock air intake silencer, we used ramps and removed it from down below the car. It didn't take long, less than 20 minutes, but then my son used to work in a body shop.
Always nice to have someone who is younger than you to do the work.
Car still sounds great under full throttle acceleration, nice to hear the air being sucked in.
So now I have the exhaust and intake done, waiting for someone to come out with computer reprogramming...........................
Love my RT,
Bob

umm, I didn't say anything about breaking snaps, 3 of the snaps used there are not a reusable type, they didn't break coming out just you can't put them back in as they use a special tool that pulls the center pin outward to expand the pin then cuts the center piece off.
I know those 3 fasteners you are talking about, they get replaced (both sides) when you install the factory car bra. Those 3 fasteners are replaced with steel fasteners and screws, which have snap heads for the car bra to snap onto.
I am thinking of putting a see thru cover on top of the 360 Filter box, to make it suck cold air through the bottom opening. The 360 Air Intakez metal air box gets very warm (hot) from the under hood temperature. And the rubber seal for the 360 Air Intakez does not seem to seal good against the bottom side of the hood.
The whole idea is to suck in cool air, not suck in the hot underhood air.
