snow chains
winter is comin...i wanna be ready for snowbord season. can someone recommend a good snow chain company. first and foremost, i care about the fitment. i do not want any dings or scratches due to a poor fitting set. second, ease of installation (least amount of time in the freezing cold the better). last, looks. thanks for any help.
After living most of my life in Chicago area and going through some nasty blizzards, I just got tired of that white stuff. Sold my two snow blowers (big & small) and moved to Florida. Am not a big fan of the heat and humidity, but at least I don't have to shovel it.

My old 96' Chevy Impala SS was terrible in snow, at least the factory tires were.
I ended up buying an extra set of 4 steel wheels and buying 4 snow tires, they worked great.
Chefboylee should have gotten the AWD Magnum, it would be awesome with 4 snow tires on it!
Love the Florida weather and my Magnum RT.

I would not use chains - I would use Z-cables which I have used on my Mercedes. They're no way near perfect either but the tensioners are a big plus.

NO CHAINS, I REPEAT NO CHAINS. The only thing I would recommend is spider spikes. Anything else has the very good chance of causing damage (not covered by warranty), have you seen how close the upper ball joint is to the front tires?
dodgemech, the chains would be on the rear (the driving wheels). chains would only go on the front wheels of FWD cars or car with AWD. however, AWD would get by just fine without em.
via, who makes the z cables?
