Default Extended Warranties

Anyone buy one of these from the dealer?

Are they true Dodge warranties? I read that some are 3rd party....

I got a 5/50 on mine, had gotten a 6/60 on my dakota before, they are dodge warranties, they only difference is that they do have a deductable on them, think it's something like $250 dollars.

I am going to be calling these people in the next month or so to find out more info. Supposed to be a DC warranty.

Most of the ones I have seen are third party, I just don't beleive in them.

It's like telling me Dodge makes a bad car and I need an extended warranty.

If the car turns out to be a lemon, there are lemon laws to protect you, if not - then I just trade the sucker in and buy another car.

Never had any bad cars in almost 50 years of driving.

Love my RT,

Bob

I have no clue what kind I have. Mine is gonna be up in 15K and if the tranny goes after that... well it's gonna be sitting and collecting rust for a very long time!

I normally don't even think of it but since I bought a first generation car I am a bit concerned. No one has 100k yet on the Magnum or 300 and who knows what might be a problem down the road.

My experience with Dodge and Chrysler is that I have never had a major mechanical problem in the last 4 vehicles I have owned and driven:
'87 Lebaron GTS, drove it hard for 187K.
3 Interpids, '98 164K '00 136K and '02 RT 89K
My Magnum came with a 7/70 Powertrain warranty. I don't expect to need it. My Dealer, Jammin Dodge, Pomona, CA has always gone out of their way to cover and work with me on minor issues that are even out of warranty. I usualy get 60- 70K out brakes!
All I do is stay on the maintenece schedules and replace things like belts and hoses when they show signs of wear.
I know the Magnum will be very reliable, the best value car for the money hands down! The most fun car to drive EVER!
