EGR
Just be careful your state dont have emission checks. Here in Tennessee they dont have it.Oh by the way i do believe it restricts a little.Anything in an air path will create disturbance, especially the flow.Every CFM counts that gets into the intake without interuption.I will cut mine down anyway once i get the throttle body off and check it out.You should have seen how big the one was in my ls1 /trans am.It restricted the whole path.Dyno sheets showed a 1/2 hp increase. Will it do anything for us?maybe, maybe not ,but will i feel better knowningthat i did it.Well hell ya cant hurt.
Well i did it today, removed the throttle body and took out the egr.Trimmed it down about 2 inches.Ive read this will also help with idleing if any of you guys have a really low idle problem if your dying at red lights.Trimming it down will help the flow path, more air =HP.I was really surprised how far it was in the intake.Like i said cutting it down will help the flow path.
