I got a call from my local Dodge dealer today (Bill Pierre, Seattle) about buying back my 2005 Magnum RT. Anyone else getting any calls like this or know why it's happening? They even said they'd buy it back at a profit to me. Not that I was swayed!

 

It's a gimmick to get you in to buy a new car. Nothing unique or special about it.

 

I have not personally, but my buddy got a letter of that sort regarding his 300C. The offer is interesting but you do have to purchase another DCX to get it.

 

you got to love that. use a car for 3 years and then sell it back for more than you paid.

 

Yeah, it may be a sales thing going on. I work a Dodge dealership, and the only reason for a buy back is because we can not figure out what is wroung with car. truck, etc.

So far this year, we have bought back about 3-5 of them. Two were magnums. One of the 2 was the battery kept going dead. Our level 5 tech gutted this car and found a pinched wire in the harrness. That was an assembly defect. Due this finding, they have reworked that area of assembly to correct that problem. The second mag was taking in water on the passenger floor board. Again, the assembly line smacked it with a tool. We found the pin hole leak, patch it and put it back on its way.

This is the only reason for a buy backs. Do not fall for anything less.
