Default Roof Rack Removal Help

Has anyone ever removed the roof rack from their Magnum? If so, what is the procedure ? I'm trying to go for the smooth look but the roof rack on my Magnum just ain't cutting it!

See images below of my Magnum on the left for a glimpse of the roof rack in question.

Thanks!

I believe the studs go through the roof, so you would either need to remove and weld (warping the roof) or grind flush and fill. Either will be expense and may not be work the effort.

Headliner has to come down and all of the before mentioned to get the look you want. If you go that route make sure the hole repair is well done before any other prep work for painting.

major body work. the roof panel is so big and easy to warp when filling the holes in. i believe grinner did this on his magnum.
cost about $1000 and he had to get it redone because of a warped roof.
