I have to speak up I have had my R/t now for 1 month and am very satisfied
I work in the mobile electronics industry and have all my life and was very skeptical of buying a 1st year car especially with the amount of technology these Magnums have
But the one thing you have to remember is this is a Damler Chrysler and this is their first attempt to really make a statement to America They did their Homework! and I think their build quality is exceptional !
From the storage areas that are so useful to the steering controls that do so much
and this car runs great rides wonderful I enjoy driving again. I had to go ahead and put an Escort P8500x50b radar in it before I got a ticket.
I also ordered the factory mud flaps and had them painted to match my Midnight Blue R/T

I sold my Harley to Buy this thing that will tell you a bit of how much I think of this SLED .

I love my Magnum, I've had it 4 months now and at 3800 miles, it's still running awesome. No problems at all, That's what I except when I buy a new car. I upgraded the audio system and not a day goes buy that I don't really enjoy driving this car. I still can't park it anywhere. Today I went to see a customer I do work for, the Magnum was outside not even 5 minutes and there was people standing around it. I spent 15 more minutes just showing it off, man it feels good. Buy the car you'll love every second of it. Redhouse

By all means, buy the RT!

You won't be sorry.

HeH - I'd sure not like to complain about my R/T - my biggest complaint is how-dang-long-it's-taking-to-get-it!

Making me NUTS!!!

Hearing y'all praise this car and not being able to go outside and fondle my own is killing me!!

You don't read about the positives as much because those owners are out driving their cars! It's hard not to. I've put almost 5000 miles on mine in 2 months.

I got my SXT Sept 1st and have 3300 miles... I did have a passenger air bag issue, but that is it. I've always heard horror stories about first model year cars, but couldn't resist this car, and I'm glad I didn't. Aside from that minor issue, there hasn't been any problems yet. HOWEVER....

Don't be affraid to save yourself 4 grand for 90 horse less, the V6 250 hp is plenty peppy, and will save you on insurance as well. There are few things I wish and hope Dodge fixes in newer models down the road, 1 is the odd cruise control stick, seems they could have saved money on it by putting it in as steering wheel controls along with radio controls in the steering wheel on the SXTs. On the other hand, if you have the extra 4 grand and insurance money, get the RT because you get tired of saying <sighhhh> No I didn't get the Hemi [&o] It still has put the fun back into driving and I look for excuses to go somewhere. I get lots of looks and inquiries where ever I go, and one other problem I've noticed... Smudged side windows... from people looking in when I'm parked somewhere and I'm not around LOL

I hear ya, MikeEast. My RT has been on order since the second week of June. I'm starting to wonder if I should try to wait for the SRT version.

Just had to stick my two cents in this. I drove mine off the lot the day they first went on sale here in the east and it's been nothing but pleasure to drive.
I did have the problem with the pulling to the right but that was fixed in a week. I have 5500 miles on now and waiting for the dealer to call to have the tow package installed and the radio balance problem fixed. They have several parts for the tow package but waiting on the wiring harness which I hope they have before I go in for the 6000 check up. Like many have already said this vehicle gets comments from all ages when in shopping centers or even at red lights.
It's nice to get the thumbs up instead of the Finger. Let me say that this forum has really been helpful as to some of the problems. One that wasn't mentioned and seems to be a concern of mine is driving at night in a winding hilly road. When reaching the bottom of a hill and the road goes up to the right or left the head lights cut off the vision on low beam which restricts your vision. I also notice that low beam must be designed as not to shine in the back of cars your following or oncoming traffic.

Now the wife keeps taking the keys & tells me to sell the 331 Hemi engine in the garage that was going to go in a 68 Charger.

Everyone Enjoy the COOL one.

I've had my RT since the beginning of June (the 8th to be exact) and to tell the truth I've had/ got a few very minor (I hate to even call them problems) problems with my car. I have about 6700 miles on her so far and even with the few issues it's got I STILL would not trade it in on anything else out there. I love how unique it is (I have people who drive Escalades talking to me about it) and I love the power its got and the room inside is a BONUS!!!
