Hello - Anyone know if the a/c compressor is supposed to cycle on/off when control is in 'floor' position? Operates normally otherwise. Does not run in 'vent' or 'mid' positions, but does in 'floor.' Htr/ac control unit replaced recently - lamps out. Won't help gas mileage to have compressor running all winter. Thanks for any help.

 

Mine does not. It only comes on in the defrost setting, and of course when you turn on the a/c button. The light doesn't come on when it's in defrost.
